About: Mr. Qolombehzadeh – 3D Cartoon Character Made in Blender

Mr. Qolombehzadeh is a 3D cartoon character entirely created in Blender. The goal of this project was to refine modeling, texturing, and grooming skills using Blender’s Particle System for the character’s beard and mustache.

Modeling

The base model was created using Subdivision Modeling to achieve smooth, cartoon-like surfaces. Additional refinements were made in Sculpting Mode to add subtle facial details and enhance clothing elements. The topology was optimized for efficient material application and rendering.

Texturing

Textures were developed using Procedural Shading in Blender, ensuring a clean and stylized cartoon appearance. The Shader Editor was used to blend simple materials and achieve a cohesive color scheme. Additionally, Subsurface Scattering (SSS) was applied to the skin to create a soft and natural look.

Hair & Grooming

The character’s beard and mustache were generated using Blender’s Particle System. One of the most enjoyable aspects of this project was grooming and styling the facial hair using Blender’s built-in combing tools, which allowed for a more natural and refined look. Children Particles were also used to enhance volume and detail.

Rendering

The final render was produced in Cycles, with lighting set up using HDRI and manually placed lights to create a soft, appealing look. Compositing Nodes were used for final color adjustments and contrast enhancement.

This project was an exciting opportunity to experiment with character modeling and hair grooming in Blender, serving as a great exercise in crafting stylized 3D characters.
